How To: Spooky Halloween Ghost Photoshoot
Ah autumn, the leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter, and (if you’re anything like me) … that same one song keeps popping upon every social media, from Insta to Tiktok. “I can’t be the only one … who hears you … Tears falling down at the party …” (Fun fact: this song is called Oh Klahoma)
So why is everyone dressing up as ghosts and doing a spooky photoshoot to this music, and more importantly, how can you do a spooky photo shoot for Halloween?
Grab your best bed sheet, or your pup, and read on to get your spooky self trending this Halloween!
What is the Spooky Photo Shoot or Ghost Photo Shoot?
It’s been around for a few years now, but every time October rolls around, our feeds start filling up with people dressing up like ghosts with sunglasses or even photographing their pup dressed up like a spooky ghost!
This trending photo shoot idea is usually accompanied by a trending song (yes, that one that I mentioned earlier), but you can add your own music if you want to set yourself apart from the crowd!
How to do the Halloween Photoshoot or the Spooky Ghost Photo Shoot?
Call it what you want babe (did you get the ref?), but however you want to name your photoshoot, the idea stays the same. Basically, all you have to do is take an old white bedsheet (or a few if you’ve grabbed your girlies or your boyfriend to come along on this spooky journey with you!) to start off.
Cut two eye holes into it (and some ears and nose holes if you’re including your furry friend in the trend, which we highly recommend!) and you’re good to go! You can also throw on some sunglasses for the classic trend look, but it’s up to you!
How to do the Spooky Dog Photo Shoot or Ghost Dog Photo Shoot?
Easy peasy, all you have to do is include your dog or your pup in this trend (easier said than done!). Cut the sheet with eye and ear holes and a hole for their little snout to breath and then get to work snapping those spooky photos of your dog!
What to do With Your Ghost Photo Shoot Photos
Great question! Here at Picta, our most popular response is … hit print! Printing out those spooky snaps is a super cute way to decorate for Halloween or just keep those fun memories printed out.
You can also post those ghost photo shoot pics on social media, we almost guarantee those Instagram likes will come flying in … like ghosts! It’s a fun and funky way to add some Halloween fun to your feed.
And again, for all those pet paw-rents, feel free to add in the photos of your ghost dog photo shoot as well!
Feeling crafty? Create a scrapbook page from your spooky photo shoot for your bullet journal or your yearly scrapbook journal! It’s a way to add a fun, personalized touch to your arts and crafts.
And feel free to tag us on @pictaphotoapp if you post your Ghost Photo Shoot photos (bonus points if you print them!) Have fun and stay spooky!
